Beauty is crafted, commercially driven enterprise. Billions of dollars are poured into advertisements and beauty products of people who have been enhanced through make up, surgery, or digital manipulation. We are bombarded by these perfected images of beauty which leaves us feeling like we can't measure up. True beauty isn't something that can be bought. The strategy isn't to measure up to other people's standards of beauty, but to appreciate the beauty that we all possess inside of us. Physical appearance is ephemeral. Let's take off the mask we put on ourselves everyday. Let's define ourselves in our own terms.

One woman reports on the representation of the female body, the ideal body set out by magazines and media. The pressure to be tall and thin leads to depression, dieting, fasting, and other unhealthy habits. The main impetus is to sell products. The pressure to be beautiful and thin, driven by advertisements, is constant. The reporter believes we need to celebrate larger models in the media.
The Evolution Of Beauty
In 60 seconds, we see the evolution of beauty - the illusions created by make up artists and digital manipulations. We see billboards and advertisements with models who are more perfect than humanly possible. Society and we expect ourselves to live up to that unrealistic standard. We need to reclaim our natural beauty - to fill confident in our own skin, naturally, without the help of make up or anything else. The human body is naturally beautiful, no matter what size or shape it comes in. Let's reclaim our natural beauty.
