Sexual politics deals with the sexualization and objectification of the female body. It involves issues of ownership. Who determines how the female body is seen and used? Who governs it and who do women give access to and why?

Trading on the Female Body

Angela Hickey, mother of Jackie Rushton, speaks of her feelings surrounding her daughter's death from complications with an egg harvesting surgery for use in invitro fertilization. On January 14, 2003, Jackie died due to complications from the surgery. Only months after her daughter's death did Hickey find out what happened to her daughter.

The egg harvesting procedure is risky, but the demand for raw material is soaring due to stem cell research. Female bodies represent the egg factories from which corporations harvest eggs. Be informed before donating eggs. No amount of money is worth the damage we could be inflicting on our health.

Secret Things - An Erotic Thriller by Jean-Claude Brisseau

In French, with English subtitles, "Secret Things," by Jean-Claude Brisseau depicts the sexual games that women engage in with men. After applying makeup, one woman tells another how sex works between men and women. She starts off with "Men, a user's manual." Pick a good one, play hard to get, discover their weak spots, use flattery, pleasure him after 3 or 4 dates, then drop him. She learned from life and her mother. The scene portrays an intimate conversation between two females, where one teaches the other the ways of life and men.

Call to Change Rape Anonymity

Warren Blackwell wrongly jailed for three years for indecently assaulting a woman after a New Year's Eve Party. He is calling for the women who fabricate crime in court to lose their right the rape anonymity. He hopes the loss of anonymity will prevent women who have a history of lying in court from putting innocent people to jail. His accuser's identity is still protected under the law. The government is considering whether the law should be changed.

Public Access's Alexyss Tylor speaks frankly about penis power and vagina power. She warns females about penis power and avoid being caught up in it. Learn about the predatory behavior of men. She breaks down the differences in orgasms. She encourages us to learn about our bodies, our needs and take control over our sexuality and relationships.

"We have to deal with our attachments and separate our love, orgasm and the penis. They are separate issues," said Tylor. It's about respecting ourselves and our bodies in our sexually liberated age. We have control over our own behaviors. Her discussion is candid, graphic and enlightening. If only our mothers could talk to us this way when we were growing up. It's a must see for all women.
